Self-Portrait with Husband - I prefer the Sea. 2026
This work was born in response to the psychological support we, as Glorious Mothers had with the CON CON (https://connessioneconsapevole.it/) and it is part of a box realized individually by each of the group members. An experimental new way of support aimed at working groups and teams. It is based on relationships and dialogues.
These polaroids with embroidery mimic how I felt during one of the exercises proposed, where I had to communicate to my husband. On the front side of the pictures, little flowers emerge as utterances of what we would like to communicate with one another, on the back of the picture, a more complex syntax emerges. The two sentences are clear to anyone who inhabits the back of the picture, while the fronts are not-readable.
Especially with my husband, we often desire and think in a very different, almost opposite way.
The work comprises two embroidered Polaroids.
