Cyanotype performed on commission for a psychiatry practice in Rome. Group cyanotype, with four figures. The title refers to a passage present in the Archetypes of the Collective Unconscious. Jung speaks of water as a metaphor for navigating within oneself. There is a need to 'follow the path of water, to make it come alive' [1]. I see an element of wandering, of loss of orientation. In the image there is no horizon to hold onto, neither above nor a below. The figures wander in a disorder which is composed only by the gestures that bind those figures together, as if the relationship between them was the only foothold for a possible orientation. The figures, out of stereotypes and schemes, are difficult to identify, they are unique and with confused outlines, yet present.

C’è bisogno di ‘seguire la via dell’acqua, per far si che questa si animi.'
Cianotipia eseguita su commissione per uno studio di psichiatria a Roma. Cianotipia di gruppo, con quattro figure. Il titolo fa riferimento ad un passaggio presente negli Archetipi dell’Inconscio Collettivo. Jung parla dell’acqua come metafora per la navigazione all’interno di sé. C’è bisogno di ‘seguire la via dell’acqua, per far sì che questa si animi’[1]. Colgo un elemento di vagabondaggio, di perdita dell’orientamento. Nell’immagine non c’è un orizzonte a cui appigliarsi, un sopra o un sotto. Le figure vagano in un disordine composto solo dai gesti che le legano insieme, come se il rapporto tra esse fosse l’unico appiglio per un possibile orientamento. Le figure, fuori da stereotipi e schemi, sono difficili da individuare, sono uniche e dai contorni confusi, ma presenti.
