Toffia, is a little village in the heart of Italy, the only history recorded is the one narrated by
the legends that surround the core of the village and the oral tradition grounded within the families. Oral tradition of bygone stories imposes lack of evidence, multiplicity of visions, interpretations.
The collection of images shows a multiplicity of photographs taken in the same place, yet with little difference in detail every picture. The audience is invited to get closer in order to spot differences. The repetition of the same image on the wall gives tangible perception of repetition of time, the relentless flowing of hours since the origin and it confuses event’s chronological order.
Toffia, è un paesino nel cuore dell'Italia, l'unica storia registrata è quella narrata da le leggende che circondano il nucleo del borgo e la tradizione orale radicata nelle famiglie. La tradizione orale di storie passate impone mancanza di prove, molteplicità di visioni, interpretazioni.
La raccolta di immagini mostra una molteplicità di fotografie scattate nello stesso luogo, ma con poca differenza nei dettagli ogni immagine. Il pubblico è invitato ad avvicinarsi per individuare le differenze. La ripetizione della stessa immagine sul muro dà una percezione tangibile della ripetizione del tempo, lo scorrere incessante delle ore dall'origine e confonde l'ordine cronologico dell'evento.
